Thelma George - Onchan

Can anyone help with the marriage record for Eric Lycett to Thelma George
All I know is that Thelma was born in 1907 at Liverpool and Eric in 1903

I am also trying to tace Thelma's early life which is a bit of a mystery - in 1911 she was with her mother in Manchester (no trace of father) - her mother died when she was about 10 years old. The only record I can find of her is from a ships passenger list in 1936 when she went to New York for approx 3 weeks. Her home address was shown as Sunningdale Drive, Onchan, I.O.M. (we believe she spent most of her early life in I.O.M)
Has anyone any access to electoral rolls or any other documents that may help

Hi,

Sorry, I can`t help with the actual marriage details, but looking at the indexes they married in 1937, Braddan.  Reference Page 2148 Entry 5 and it was Church of England. Eric Laybourn Lycett and Thelma George.

Have amended the post as rumours abound as to her link with horse racing. Thelma died in 1988 and is buried in Douglas Civic Cemetery with her husband.
