Good spot Jan;  but where is she in 1841 ?
Her death index could be the one in June 1856 in Bedford RD ref 3b/217

The James Gooding death is most likely the burial at St Pauls on 10 Dec 1841 age 64 (making him born 1777).

I think you may have already found her recorded as Sarah, ages seem to match  - perhaps the writing on the original household schedule was really bad? I have a Letty who is down as Sally on one census.

If Sarah Goodwin really was Hannah née Rabbit, and the enumerator messed up the schedule (which it looks like), it might explain the presence of Edward Rabbit living with her in 1841. Or, of course, he might have been nothing more than a lodger.

The big question must be: is there a connection between Hannah bap 1786 and Emily bc1801? Hannah seems a bit too young for them to have been mother & daughter

later
How about Emelee Robbett dau of Richard & Charlotte born 7 May 1801 recorded in the Old Meeting House Mill Lane-Independent, Bedford church book?

Richard Rabit married Charlotte Waters at Bedford St Peter on 11 Oct 1798. A Richard Rabett age 77 was buried on 3 Feb 1824 at Bedford St Peter (as mentioned by John). It looks as though Hannah and Emily were half sisters, which would make Edward Hannah's nephew

And that , JP, is definitely the final edit. Chicken liver salad has been demolished, there's still some wine left, and in a few minutes I'll be having a siesta in front of the screen! A bientot.

This gets more and more interesting.

So an Emily has been found and I do believe my Hannah along with other Information.

The census that you have all found I have put in my shoebox for now on my tree.

Both Hannah and John were sent away as apprentices through the Harpur trust and I often wonder whether they lost contact with each other, as I should imagine, would happen with most of these children because I doubt whether they could read or write. Sad.  I was hoping that maybe she could have ended nearer her brother. Silly of me I know.

Once again thankyou all for your time in your searches, you kind people, you have helped me a lot.

CraftyP- there's a baptism of a Reuben Cooper Rabbit at Henlow on 25 May 1834, born 26 Apr, to John and Jane Rabbit. I can't find their marriage nor can I trace them thereafter. Do you have any record of them. I'm hoping Jane might have been Jane Cooper and so would link into my Henlow Coopers (of which I am one!)

I am sorry I didn't answer your question I seemed to have missed it yesterday.  No I don't have any record of them but if I do come across them I will let you know.

Thanks Crafty - John has sorted them out, they're actually Mabbits rather than Rabbits
