Stokenchurch Parish Records
« on: Friday 22 April 11 16:35 BST (UK) »
Can anyone help me find the birth of Mary Ann House sometime between 1805 and 1814 in Stokenchurch. The names of her parents would be a bonus. Thanks.

There is a baptism of Ann House, daughter of Mary, at Stokenchurch:

14 December 1806
Ann daughter of Mary House

Otherwise I can't see a likely match.

Matt :)

Thanks for that but it doesn't seem to fit with the info I have on Mary Ann House. According to the Census of 1851 she gives her place of birth as Stokenchurch?
Thanks anyway. Dot

She may have been Non-Conformist and baptised under the Methodist Church or another non-Conformist Churches. I am unsure of the non-Conformist presence at Stokenchurch at this time, however I am pretty sure that the records for the area come under the Chinnor circuit.

Alternatively, you could apply to the Buckinghamshire Family History Society for a baptism search. Here is the URL:

Hope this helps

Re: Mary Ann House
Many thanks for help but? The only other clue I have is that her father was Edward House (Dead) according to Mary Ann's MCert of 1845.

There is an Edward and Ann House baptising children in Stokenchurch
1799 Charles
1804 Thomas
1806 Edward
1814 David
1816 John
1818 James
There's an 8 year gap there so maybe living elsewhere or only baptised the boys!

Just to add:- William House -  Baptised 9th Mar 1812. Stokenchurch. to Edward & Ann House.

Cannot find a burial in Stokenchurch for Edward House, within the timeframe.

Thanks everyone for your help. I'm sure this is the family that belongs to Mary Ann House but where is she?
Has anyone the marriage record of Edward House and Ann?

Thanks again,
Dot
