Location of cottage and help with era from clothes
« on: Sunday 24 April 11 06:41 BST (UK) »
Nobody in my family knows the location where this photo was taken, or when it was taken.

I'd appreciate any suggestions to help date the photo from the dress etc, and to indicate the place it was taken, from the background, style of the cottage, etc.

Various parts of my family lived around Casterton/Kirkby-Lonsdale in Westmorland, and near Barton in Preston and Westby with Plumpton in Lancashire.

Thanks for any suggestions you may be able to offer about date and location.

An interesting feature is the opening window panes for ventilation - I've not seen that before :)
Today I broke my personal record for most consecutive days alive.
