Whitby - Rix Marriage @ Gayton

If someone is visiting the RO where Gayton records are kept would it be possible to look up the marriage of John WHITBY to Amy RIX in 1836 please.

There is an entry on Anc. Pallot's Marriage Index - that gives the place, year (no month/day) and names only with a comment "with cons. of all parties" next to Amy's name.

She was baptised 28 May 1815 so would have either been 21 already or about to turn 21 and both her parents were still alive.

The marriage at Gayton was on 13 Feb 1836 (source - Norfolk Marriage Index 1801-1837). Her name is given as Emma (not Amy) Rix. However, Phillimore's Marriages (Norfolk Vol. 10) has her name as Amy.

I can only guess there must be a transcription error with the Norfolk Marriage Index if Phillimores and Pallots have her as Amy.
Her baptism was as Amey and on all census returns she was Amy.

That's a very useful resource I wasn't aware of on FamilySearch, so I'll have to have a good look through there, might turn up a few more gems.
