Can anyone help with an elusive great grandmother Sarah Jane Berrett born Alton Priors in about 1840. Any information on the Berretts at this time would be appreciated.

Hi Tanglewood
I just saw your post and strangely enough over the last few days a few of us have been doing some look ups for a family called Berritt which could possibly be a mistranscription of Berrett.
If you go to the search button at the top of the page and type in Berritt you will find the topic

Thanks for your response, I think she may be related to the many Berretts in Steeple Ashton but can't find a connection yet.

best regards
