hi Tracy, your distant relatives may or may not have gravestones, many people could not afford to have a stone placed over a grave.Try contacting the council that is local to that cemetery because even without a gravestone there is usually a plan of where the burials take place, and they might be able to tell you if there is or not.

Hi, not sure if you are still looking for information about London Road cemetery but if you are drop these people an email, enquiries[at]covfhs.org (replace [at] with @)they hold the burial records for this cemetery. A few weeks ago I was looking for my Grandads plot  and within a few hours of emailing these guys I had the square reference and grave number. With these details you can then contact Coventry History Centre http://www.theherbert.org/index.php/home/history-centre/history-centre-collections. who have maps of the cemetery showing the locations of the graves, they will send this info out by post but it costs £5.00. I made my visit to them on a Saturday afternoon as they are open until 4.00pm and then went off to the cemetery its literally only a stones throw away, but be warned its massive, fortunately you can drive around inside but be sure to get the people at the history center to photocopy you the map (60p), cause without it you stand little chance of finding the grave your after.
hope this helps
