What is meant by "Rootschat Member", "Rootschat Extra!", etc?

Deborah,

It's all to do with the number of posts that RootsChatters make.

Newcommers begin as RootsChat Pioneers, then after a few posts they become "Extra".

As people help more, they go higher in "status" or position (as it were).

Trystan  :)
