I have no dates of birth for the children except 25th oct 1904 in Brockaghboy for my grandfather Michael hegarty. I have their names as
Ellen, John Jo, Hugh, Mariann, James Patrick, Daniel, Patrick Daniel
But not confirmed as this information came from word of mouth rather than records. So any information you have on dates of birth would be great.

Will have a look and see if I can find birth details for those born in Brockaghboy.

Are you sure about Michael being born 25 Oct.1904? Brother Daniel's birth certificate says born 19 Sept.1904.

James Patrick Hegarty born 14 Aug.1906 (mother McKiver) reg. by father 20 Aug.1906

Possibly birth for Mary Ann Hegarty- Jan./Mar.1901 Coleraine registration district volume 1 page 496

Also found what might be Daniel's mother Mary Ann Hegarty's death- age 72, July/Sept.1906 Coleraine registration district volume 1 page 335

Aghadowey- you are correct that Michael was born in 1902. My mistake.  I think you are right about mary ann because the children were born in brockaghboy except hugh who was born in the londonderry district in 1910. They must of moved from brockaghboy after mary ann died in 1906.
This is great thanks.

I have found a mary ann Mc nicholl marrying a Michael H in 1865 and her father is thomas Mc nicholl. ( in griffith Valuation, it gives a thomas nicholl macosquin which isn't too far from brockaghboy)
I can't confirm if this is the mary ann I am looking for as it doesn't say michael Hegarty but michael H. Can anyone check civil records and see if this is the marriage I am looking for..

Thanks David

Thomas Nicholl wasn't McNicholl and Macosquin (near Coleraine) isn't really that close to Brockaghbouy (outside Garvagh).

Where did you get the marriage from?

I got it using the advanced search on rootsireland.ie
But I don't know if it's right. I will have to check if the church records still exist to find when mary ann mc nicholl married michael Hegarty and any other information ( father's name etc)

Thanks David

I searched the civil registration index & LDS site but can't find the marriage (closest was a Mary Ann McNicholl m.1846 Michael McLaughlin).

McNicholl is a common surname in Glenullin so I expect the bride would have probably been local. As far as I know, marriage records for the church start 1873.
