Hi Tom and Monica,

                        many thanks Monica I never thought of that one LOL, at one time Mount Vernon was a small estate with a grand house, but the problem with part of the ground is there are Coal workings under it and this is why the ground is sunken in many parts, the Mine was at the end of the long wall down Mount Vernon Road.

I think Tom the Common Ground was at one time Paupers Ground I have three relatives buried in that part.
