Hi Barbara,

You mention the 1891 - but in 1881, a two year old Christiana was with the above named grandparents. As a matter of interest, was Catherine her sister ?

Andrew and Christiana appear to have a daughter by the name of Isabella - I would have expected them to have a son by the the name of Robert, but I can't see one. Have you found a marriage ?

1891 census staying with grandparents Andrew and Christina in Bomarsund- Isabella could also be Cowens.

Wondering if this is a typing mistake, in 1891 Andrew and his wife had a three year old grandson staying with them, but no sign of Christianna.

I'd be curious to see the information this certificate holds :

Birth, March qtr 1879
Christina Cowans
Morpeth, Vol 10b, page 322

What a mystery Barbara, I don't envy you ?

I think that must be her: on the baptism record her birth is given as 25th December 1878,  which would tie up with registration in the following quarter (i.e. 1st q. of 1879)

Hi Radcliffe
Isabella and Margaret are daughters of Andrew and Christianna- they are in Bomarsund 1891 and Andrew grandson is also there. Andrew and Christiana both died in 1890's  I see you have found Margaret and Andrew in 1901  census- i must of missed that thanks a lot.

If I have the right person, Christiana is still with Thomas & Isabella in Bedlington in 1901.
