I am fairly new to this site and have posted a couple of questions. What I have noticed is that the folder icon alongside both my questions is yellow but the other icons on the page are mainly blue? can someone tell me why? have I done something wrong when listing the topics?

The yellow folder simply means that you've posted on that particular topic. It's explained in Help pages-
