Arthur Allen Goodman - Army Service Query

Could anyone provide any information on the service record of:

Arthur Allen Goodman - sometimes recorded as Allen Goodman

b. 1869 Thorpe Malsor, Kettering, Northants
d. 1932 Wellingborough

He was promoted to Clr Sergt in Nov 1897 and left for posting in South Africa Oct 1899

Other than that I have no knowledge of his Military Service and would be grateful if anyone has anything they could add to this info.

Ancestry has pre WW1 medal rolls available online as well as WW1 ones.

do the record pages give a full picture of his time in the army?

I've had a look at subscription to FindMyPast and am trying to work out best way of accessing the records - do you know if the £6.95 credit option would cover the 14 pages of his service record or would I have to pay the full subscription for 6 months? - or can you get the same inffo from Ancestry

thanks for your help - i've now downloaded the service record which has provided some useful info.  Does anyone know how I find his engagements during the Boer War?

The starting point would be to post details of his regiment and battalion or battery etc. PLUS the dates when he was in South Africa, and the clasps he received with his medal(s) if this is recorded.
