Marriage Record
« on: Saturday 07 May 11 13:05 BST (UK) »
Hi there,

Bit of a shot in the dark but wonder if anyone could help me;

I am looking for a possible birth, or ideally marriage record for a Margaret Hopkins and Louis Scullion. All I know about them is that at the birth of their son Hugh in Nov of 1916,  they lived at 6 Elmfield Road in Belfast, a Ms. Mary C Scullion was also resident at this address and present at birth, although unsure of her connection. I have been unable to find the family on any census records or street directories in the area; I believe there to be a possible Ballymena link however no real fact basis for this.

I realise I can request the marriage record from PRONI however I have no real date to go on and I am aware they can only search 1/2yrs either way.

Any info much appreciated.

Excellent thanks! Couldn't find this info anywhere! Could I be so rude as to ask someone to do a quick census search on this family? I have tried census.nationalarchives but no sucess.

Thanks again!!

HI

Civil records are available at the General Registry Office in Belfast (GRONI) or GRO in Dublin where you can get a copy of the marriage certificate. (Photocopy is cheaper in Dublin). The GRONI and GRO in Dublin can search up to 5 years either side of a date for you.

PRONI only would possibly have the Church record of the Marriage.
