John B Ashworth - 1901 census - please
« on: Monday 09 May 11 18:28 BST (UK) »
Hi,

Can someone please confirm something for me please. I think an ancester of mine JOHN BUTTERWORTH ASHWORTH remarried in Rochdale in 1889.
I think I have ruled out one of the ladies and am thus left with one MARTHA COWEN

I think he's on 1901 census as JOHN B ASHWORTH, aged 60, born in Rochdale. A Mechanical Engineer. Does he have a wife named Martha???

Thank you

Jonathan

Hello,

Thank you - I was in too much of a hurry yesterday. Not done any family history for a while and got in a muddle.
The John Butterworth Ashworth I was looking at in 1889 is a different John to the one I thought he was. Both are ancesters of mine however.
Got it figured out now  :)
