1891 look up please

i have this....... william grant colligan, his wife is jane laurie, they would both be about 39 yrs of age. they are connected to colligans in my other posts.  trying to find out info on their family........any help greatly appreciated, kind reguards frm heather.......thinking they are in uphall, linlithgow ?

Jane Colligan 38 wife  Born Stoney Kirk Wigtownshire
Frances Colligan 2 Daughter  Born Canongate Edinburgh.

They are living in Ecclesmachen

Hello Heather,

I don't have the 1891 census, but I do have the Uphall burial records, and I remembered the name from when I was transcribing, hope this helps, William Grant Colligan died 10/4/1931 aged 79, at that time he was living at 15 Potter Row, Edinburgh, he was interred in Section E, Lair 18 at Uphall Cemetery on the 15th April 1931.   His wife Jane Lawrie died (no death date) probably abt the 6/11/1916, they were living at Violet Cottage, Uphall  she was aged 62.  She was interred  in Section E, Lair 18 on the 8/11/1916.

Nay Meg,not today.Then again I just got a birthday card two weeks late,it was only posted in Cornwall.I could have walked there,picked it up and walked back quicker

just an update, went looking for william colligan on the scottish shale museum website, i didnt find him, but i found, my great granfather meredith colligan.  ( williams brother )
