Hi Leprechaun,

I never thought of that, thanks very much, with the address somebody just may know who lived there.  Thanks again ;) Pauline

Hi Pauline,

I had a quick look on Ellis Island site but couldn't see him. There were a couple of Gaughans from Attymass/Ballina.

Tom presumably emigrated from Gateshead but lots of people from Ballina went to Scranton area in Pennsylvania.

The later Ellis Island entries can be very helpful as they often give the person that the emigrant is going to (most likely a relative) and the next of kin back at home.

Hi Heywood, Thanks very much for looking for me.  I think they probably did go for work,to other relatives that had previously settled there. Thanks very much for looking for me, it's appreciated :) Pauline
