Hi SteveJW
thanks,
as for Harold, well still trying to find where he is, been at this for 2 days now!!!! if only it gave the Head of Household name, would make things easier, do you think he could have been taken to someone to be looked after, like a Wet Nurse if his mother was ill, so he could have been living in Hull???

take a look at this photo, what do you think, The large white house is Low Gardham Farmhouse and Gardham Cottages are behind it.. scroll down the page for more pictures....

could be, Harry for Harold and if he was born in Q before but towards the end then he may well have been registered in this Q.

Cherry Burton, which takes in Gardham is in Beverley Registration, so wht abt this... Harold Watson Dec Q 1900 BEVERLEY 9d
There is another Harold W but born Sculcoates Dec Q 1900, but this covers the Kirk/West Ella area not Gardham?

umh, where is it???
I have waded my way through to District 1-24 and no sign of him being mis-placed/transcribed, as yet!

Districts 3 & 5 are not listed for Holy Trinity & St Mary

Holy Trinity St Mary (no and) has Districts 25-33 plus District Hull Royal Infirmary

Holy Trinity (Myton) has Districts 2a, 3, 4, 5, to 50.  District 5 is St Judes, just looking through this lot now.

Ah thanks wilcoxon,

Sick Nurse, is this same as Wet Nurse?? or was Harold ill, maybe born prematurely?? but if this is him then his mother must have been really ill to still be in the Nursing Home 1901. I wonder if this woman took Harold for breast feeding to his mother and that is why he was living in Hull and not being nursed at home??

Argyle Street, is the road that runs down side of Hull Royal Infirmary, off Anlaby Road onto Springbank Ave. Originally called Asylum Lane as that is where the Hull & East Riding Refuge for the Insane 1838 was.

Albion Street, Nursing Home, is east of Argyle, in City centre off Ferensway, 10 mins walk between them.

...most likely is the Harold Watson we are looking for, so this could be him that I posted earlier Harold Watson Dec Q 1900 BEVERLEY 9d   as that would make him abt 4 mths if born towards end of that Q 1900 as census was end March 1901.

1891 census
Alice Johnson was an Officer/Nurse age 31 born Hull - at Liverpool Workhouse, Mount Pleasant, Liverpool, Lancs.  RG12/2917    65   4
this one does not appear on the 1901 census at any workhouse or similar, age and POB matches.

The other family Barrick on the 1891 census too, 10 Hilda's Gnore? Printer Letterpress,  1 child Percy.
Sculcoates, Kingston upon Hull, part of Beverley.
His father was a Printer Compositor too b. Hull.  1871 cen Vincent St, Sculcoates, Hull  RG10/4784   70  7
I wonder if these printers did the Letterheads etc for the Watson's and maybe Mary Barrick is the sister to Alice Johnson...

Marriage for Francis John Barrick  to  Mary Johnson @ Sculcoates Jun Q 1884
FJB Parents
William Sharpe Barrick married Elizabeth Skelton @ Hull Dec Q 1840
