Hi There,
I have managed to obtain Sydney's & Daisy May's birth certificate, but there is no parents name in there!!! So i am still at a mystrey of who this mander women is!! :'(
Also i have found what i think to be another child between Daisy May and Sydney Ransley, they had a daughter in 1946 called Elizabeth who died at birth.

I would still appreciate any help on this Mander women if anyone knows anything.

Is that a Cert you got from the GRO since posting this thread?

Or a 'short' Cert which was in your Family Papers?

I dont think a 'short' cert shows the full details you actually get from an original one .....

a 'Full' Cert from the GRO will certainly show (both) parents names, date and place of birth, fathers occupation and name of Informant (usually Mother)

ok, thanks very much.
Going back to this Mander / Glenn theory, do you know of any reason why she would register her childrens birth in both mander and glenn?? throughout diffrent periods of time.

Just what I said before - her legal surname was GLENN, because she was born before her parents married, but she also used MANDER, and wasn't very consistent about it.  (Maybe her maiden name didn't seem important once she was married?  Only guesswork, I'm afraid!)
