Family Tree Maker 2005
« on: Tuesday 26 April 05 19:18 BST (UK) »
 ???
When I use the automatic web search it searches Ancestry.com. This throws up lots of USA data that I don't want and takes forever to get rid of. Can the USA data be excluded or can I get it to search Ancestry.co.uk instead? Otherwise it is really good.

Hi Janeswan

I use FTM v10 but do not use the automatic web search anymore as I have 12,000 people in the database and it takes far too long.  I try various surname search engines at world connect or rootsweb or simply type surname and village into google, or Genes Reunited.
Hope this helps
