FRRBDM and Familysearcg seem to suggest a wedding in 1839 at Taunton, if I have got the right people. Many thanks Mark

Find My Past appears to suggest an Albert Stacey in North Petherton 1848-1854 which would tie in but I can't find any other proof from my searches. The 1851 census lists an A Stacey (son) for Thomas and Eliza.

The images of the banns clearly has 1838 written next to the heading of the entry, but as the previous set are from 1837 and the next 1842, maybe the vicar wrote in 1838 at the start of that year but didn't need to make an entry until their banns in 1839, and didn't notice the error!

Eliza Stacey remarried in 1862. Her first husband Thomas Stacey's death appears possibly to be in 1857. I can find a death in the last 3m's of that year in both Taunton and Bridgwater. It might be that they refer to the same death, but is there a way of confirming it is him. My concern is that a child was buried at West Monkton at about that time. It looks like Eliza died in 1864, just 2 years after her marriage as there is a death in Taunton.

It's the Bridgwater death -  the GRO site notes age at death as 50. The Taunton death was of an infant under 1 year old. There's a burial on Find a Grave of a 50 yr old in North Newton in Oct 1857
