hi my name is tony and tring to trace any family relitives of the rowlands family that lived in llanbrynmair around the 1871 the father was hugh wife was martha the 3 daughters was mary   sarah j and ann the 2 sons was ellis which is my grandfather and the other son was nathaniel he died in 1885 age 24 any help if any relatives are living that can help  many thanks

I am not (as far as I know) related to your family -but am willng (as many other RootsChatters will be) to assist in your research

Do you want to come forward with this family ?? What information do you already have?? (Census BMD's etc)

It seems Hugh died before 1871??

And I cannot find a death reg for Nathaniel Rowlands age 24 in 1885 -but there is this death reg

hello many many thanks for ur reply yes i have all that information nathanielo did die age 24 in 1883 his mother martha died 2 years after hugh the husband died in either 1869 or 1871  they married in 1857 in llanbrynmair but i was trying to find marthas maiden name i thought was hughes but im sure now it was evans there was no marrage for rowlands and hughes  but if you do find any thing else it would be very grateful .

It looks like martha's maiden name was Evans

She can be found in 1851
HO107 2495 440 10

Wonder why Nathaniel had middle name Hughes on death reg -as it wasn't on his birth reg????

that is one big question about hughes  that was nathaniels middle name also his youngest brother was named ellis hughes  who was my wifes grandfatherand ellis hughes is still carried on today one of my sons is ellis as well but you said martha  maiden name is on the 1851 i have all the census from 1841 to 1911 but  i dont see evans on 1851 many thanks .

Maybe when you get further back a grandparent was named Hughes???? Just a guess

hello again suz yes i found martha in 1851 i have searched all rowlands but no hughes maybe they liked the middle name hughes never mind  some thing might show up  any way many thanks once again.

I am Searching for a rowland rowlands,born 1811 to a lady called cathrin. They lived in Machynlleth. Their daughter Mary was my gret grandmother

Hello I am looking for Rowland Rowlands born 1811 in Machynlleth Montgomeryshire Rowlands in the 1841 was spelt Rowlants ,his wife was Catrin . The lady I am looking for is her daughter Mary born 1838 .I would like to go further back with this family
