My Latin is pergamentum, but I think the gist is that James (Jacobus) Whiteley the son of John Whiteley of Ealand in the disocese of Halifax was sworn as adminstrator on the same day (Eodem die) as the entry above.
Ermy

Edit: My mistake, it's Halifax in the diocese of York

Thanks Ermy. I thought filio was son.

Am I seeing things that aren't there, or is there another name on the fourth line? Something like Nathan (or Matthew) Sharp? Or is it just more latin?

No, it is a name, looks like Nathane Sharpe to me.  Word before is "coram" which means before i.e. in the presense of so I think this could be the person taking James' oath.  Does the same name appear on any of the other entries on the page, particularly the one above on the same day?  Here's a bit about administrations and their format http://www.york.ac.uk/media/library/documents/borthwick/5administrations.pdf
