Andrew Davidson b. abt 1802 and Isabella Robertson

The above are my 3xgt grandparents.  In 1841 they are living in Coldstrem where Andrew is a mason.
On 1851 census Adrew gives b irth place as Roxburgh b. about 1802, and on 1861 birthplace is Kelso.
On all census from 1851 to 1881 Isabella gives her birth place as Kelso abt.1801.
The family continued to live in Coldstream where all of their children were born.
Can anyone help me find a birth for Andrew and Isabella and also a marriage, as I have been unable to find anything from IGI.

There are three Andrew Davidsons born around your timescale.  What are the names of his and Isabella's children in order and I may be able to point you in the right direction.

It is not infallible Patricia but very often the first born son is the name of the father's father.  In this case William.  None of the Andrews I found had a father named William but in Roxburgh fromm 1798-1803 there are children born at Roxburgh with a father William.  I personally would be looking at this family. 
John 1798 father William, John 1805 father Wm and mother Janey Halyburton, William 1803 father William. Perhaps the first John died and they named their next son John.  Andrew's baptism may just be missing.
I would expect Isabella's mother to be Jane is the naming pattern works.  If both Andrew and Isabella had a mother named Jane it can confuse the issue and this may be what happened here.

Thanks Barbara, I will follow up your suggestions.  I have now found a possible birth for Isabella Robertson in Kelso 4 April 1799, christened 5 May 1799 father Thomas Robertson and mother Jean Cockburn.

If they stayed in Scotland it would be well worth your while to get death records from Scotlandspeole.gov.uk  to support what you have found.

Andrew Davidson, mason Coldsteam 1.3.1867 65 years.  Isabella Davidson 7.2.1884 83 years.  Their sons William died aged 4, another Thomas died aged 2 and James their son died 1907 aged 62 years.
