Can anyone help me trace Elizabeth Callum or maybe Cullum who I have as born about 1817, Isle of Man, she married William Cowan born about 1817 in Scotland, so I'm assuming she came over to Scotland to go into service?
They had a son also called William born in 1848, in the Glasgow area if that is any help.

Any help would be much appreciated.

callum (or similar) is not a Manx name - I can find no bapts with anything that resembles this name apart from a single mcCollum family in 1750's - nor any entry in the 1841 IoM census (nearest is a scottish Malcolm)
any thing with a Manx Connection

there is a scottish Isle of Mar I believe - in 18th/19th C there are records of some Manx asking posters to address intended mail as Isle of Mann to avoid their mail being routed via Scotland
