Marriage PR for James EDDY & Sarah Jane HOSKINGS

I can't find a PR for the marriage of James Eddy and Sarah Jane Hoskings in Penzance in 1882 1 qtr 5c 384.

Knowing his fathers name would be a great help.

Having met a brickwall regarding my James, I am hoping not to have to buy yet another certificate, so I can rule the above one in or out of my family.

The above is the information for ordering the certificate from the GRO, Penzance Registration district.

There are four names on the page, it's the marriage of James Eddy I am trying to find and am hoping it was to Sarah Jane Hoskings.

I've had a look for the other 2 people on the same page, Charles Hichens Quick and Florence Elizabeth Dennis.

1881 census has Florence E Dennis aged 22 in Penzance. RG11/2346 folio 131 pg 14
1901 has a Florence E Quick of the right age, born Penzance with children born Penzance & Swansea RG13/5186 folio 26 pg 43
which led me to the family in Swansea in 1891 recorded with just initials RG12/4483 folio 53 pg 35.

So, as Charles Hichens Quick married Florence E Dennis, then James Eddy must have married Sarah Jane Hosking.

It's not often I can't find a marriage PR at Cornwall OPC, but these two have managed to avoid it.

I think I am about to solve a family mystery because I have both of them living apart in the 1911...just need PR or marriage cert to confirm it now.

If they had married at the Registry Office or as Quakers then the marriage would not be in our database.

Osprey has done better than me because I looked for Florence Quick in 1891 to elimnate her as being James wife too but all I found were young Florences.

I think that we are quite spoiled with all the free records on-line for Cornwall due to all the hard work of volunteers.

I love the new site set up, and am beginning to register all the certificates I have purchased for my Cornish rellie's with them...great idea
