Marriage Lookup Pls - NUNE

hi

can anyone do a lookup for me please for the marriage of henry nune b1600 in wortham.
i think he could have married an elizabeth and married in gt saxham but im not sure.

I am afraid I don't have any info for you re the marriage but from the Suffolk Burial Index I can certainly confirm that there was a couple Henry NUNE & Elizabeth in Wortham c1570 as there are the following entries:
Dorothea NUNE buried 22 Jul 1573 da of Henry & Elizabeth
Elizabeth NUNE buried 14 Apr 1580 wi of Henry

However these dates are somewhat early for your quest.

Also recorded in Wortham is the burial of Henry NUNN snr 25 Feb 1692 & Henry NUNN 1 May 1695.  Sorry no ages given but unless they were both well over 100 then it is unlikely that they relate to your quest either.

There are also 3 other NUN burials listed between 1640-49 children of Henry.

Gt Saxham is some distance west of Wortham & the name Nune/Nun/Nunn is prolific not only around Wortham but also around Bury St Edmunds area as I am sure you have discovered!

thanks keziah. i have been given some info by another family member who started my nunn tree so am busy rechecking her info. from what i can make out the family did come from wortham and i think she might have made a mistake with the gt saxham connection but until i dig a bit deeper i wont know for sure.
