This is an offshoot from my census look up for the Gollans.
I found Elizabeth C MacKenzie widow along with the Gollans on census for Spittal Shore Killearnan in 1881 aged 77. Also on 1871 on the next page but still with the Gollans same address as Elizabeth Campbell aged 70.
On both occasions she is the sister in law of John and sister of Isabella. She is still with her parents on the 1841 at Whitewells Killearnan aged 35.
I did find her death certificate which states she is the widow of John Mackenzie (Tailor) and her marriage in 1848 is on Familysearch
I can't find her birth (unreliable ages on death and census) or 1851 or 1861 census returns.
It looks like this may be John MacKenzie in the 1841 census as he is the only John MacKenzie Tailor in Ross & Cromarty of the right approximate age. I can only presume his wife died shortly after this census.
