Dorothy Shepherd from 1911, may be Dorothy May bn 1890 to Hesketh Matthew Sheppard and Eliza.  In which case, she then married Arthur Smyth in 1911

but her name was Dorothy and she was born 27th September 1891/92

Yes, her name on all documents is Dorothy. The only document with a DOB is the 1939 National Registration, which was taken 29 Sep 1939, so only two days after her birthday.

She records her DOB in 1939, as 27 Sep 1891.

If her DOB is correct in 1939 and in 1929 (her age on the marriage cert), then she was born after the 1891 census was taken. 'If'!

Hi,
Yes birth and baptism records, but with no joy.
I've even ordered several incorrect birth certs!  :(

We don't know who Hudson and Parker are  :(
I've spoken to all living descendants, to see if they know them and also tried to research these two names.
Everything about the marriage cert is 'odd'.
