My thanks to both of you for all this information on Alex. R. Gibson  I now have the name of his wife not just an initial .

His daughter I suspect was  Catherine Bowie Gibson named after his mother. Lucy and Catherine will have

come over here in 1929  as Alexander senior died in August that year.

They were going to "The Manse " :D in Carnoustie Sandra. Alexander senior was a Church of Scotland minister .

Thanks again.

Suzilad  ;D ;D ;D

Hi RunKitty and *Sandra*,
                                       An update on Alexander Gibson.
He must have been married twice as I through a Canadian friend have received a copy of his death certificate . He was married to Violet Stuart Weir and  it  also states it was his step daughter Betty Louise Tarbett of Calgary Alberta who registered his death.

He had been in Vancouver six yearsprevious to that he was in Alberta.
He was a Superintendant  of Public Schools -- Department of Education Alberta for 25 years .
He had been in Canada from 1905.

Regards,

Suzilad
