Look up request for James Edward Marmaduke Osborn born Philadelphia

I have this information and hope that someone can help me with more information.

James Edward Marmaduke Osborn - born Philadelphia - father James Edward Osborn draper
He was a ship's engineer and died 1921 aged 82 which makes his birth about 1839.
 About 1875 he was sailing to and from Australia and New Zealand.
He married in Tasmania.

I have his marriage 1875 in Tasmania aged 29, his birth would be 1845/6

JEM was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1839. His father was James Osborn and his occupation was a draper. It is believed his mother was French. 

Ted Osborn as he was known was working on a ship and family myth has him meeting Bridget Cassidy at a wake and returning to marry her next trip. He was aged 29 and a carpenter on marriage certificate but was probably 36 if his death age is anything to go by. Possibly fudged to gain perceived respectability.

James Osborn had fought in the American Civil War and had spent his early years in USA then lived in Tasmania and moved to Portland, Victoria. I have the details for his life in Tasmania & Australia.

I hope that this helps further; MAYBE someone can help me further with the early life of James Osborn?

Hi, I am looking for more information about James Edward Marmaduke Osborn who was born in Philadelphia and moved to Tasmania.
I noted Muffin posted some information and I would like to check the information as I cannot find any thing further dating back past 1836.
