But I've been trying to track down the marriage (c1834/35 Possibly Somerset) between
Robert SIMPSON / (maybe
SAMPSON) and his wife
Ann SIMPSON (Maiden name unknown present on the 1841 census in Andover, Andover, Hampshire, England)
They had the following known children
Alfred Richard SIMPSON born 1836 Somerset (from his Marriage/Death Certs in Australia)
Ellen SIMPSON born 1838/9 on the census (1841)
I found two possible births for Ellen under
SAMPSON / SIMPSON on freebmd (in order to see if I could track down the family in 1851 but to no avail)
SAMPSON Ellen Cromwell born 1838 Sep QTR bath (Somerset) which is the only link.
SIMPSON Ellen Born 1839 Mar Bradford (somerset) 8 209
It looks like
Robert SIMPSON possibly died in 1850 DEC QTR Bradfield, Hampshire, (hence why no record in the 1851 census with family) I haven't been able to find the family after the 1841 Census as it's possible
Ann SIMPSON / SAMPSON remarried so hence why the details so vague.
