They are my Gt Grandparents Davids parents were William Cordwell 1821 - 1856 and Esther Smith.

Williams parents were William Cordwell 1783 - 1845  and Rachel Kent 1783 - 1853.

Really "David" ...................
If you squint you can see that the "rr" is really "vi" and the "ce" is really a "d".
(Compare the "d" to the same in "Cordwell")
