I am looking for information on this family  particulary an Elizabeth  born 1842 in Titchmarsh.   She married a Joseph Meadows  here in  1868. Dates of birth differ between 1842 and 1849 according to various  censuses.   According to 1911 census it was 1842.   Thanks Wendy.

Hi there

Found the marriage of Elizabeth to Joseph in Oct 1868 in Thrapston
Cant seem to find her christening on my sites I go on.
If you really need to know it would be on her marriage certificate.
Saying that, people used to try to be younger and on the census
it could be rounded down to the nearest decade.  
It should also be on her death certificate. Do you know when she
died??

Hi, Sandymc,  Thanks for your reply and message.   Yes got her marraige certificate but there is just a line where her father's name should be.

I don't know when she died but she was living in hendon at the time of the 1911 census.

Didnt know you had the wedding certificate.  It does help to know a little more than you gave on the first post. We try to encourage as much information
as possible otherwise we might be searching for hours for a little information
you already have.
If there is a line where the Fathers name should be then she is more than likely illegitimate and maybe thats why we cannot find her birth details.
As she was born around 1842 it was not against the law in that time NOT
to register her details. So maybe we might never know her family due to
that fact.  I do hope you can find her and maybe someone who has time
might look at the bishops transcripts for you.   It doesnt help that her
surname keeps changing lol
