REA/RAE/RAY in Haddington - 17th century
« on: Thursday 28 April 05 15:02 BST (UK) »
I'm looking for additional data on the several REA/RAE/RAY families I found (in the General Register) living in Dunbar Parish, Prestonpans Parish, Pencaitland Parish, Tranent Parish and Haddington Parish during the 17th century. I know of the births, just need more detail, please, as well as any suggested online sources I can try. Thanks.

Gary

I have a few records for the RAITH family in Pencaitland - I read somewhere that Rae and Raith were related names. I have children for William Raith and Helen Spence (1720's) and Charles Raith and Margaret Skirvine (1690's). I also have some records for Raith's elsewhere in East Lothian.

Any interest?

I think that Scotlands People is a great website for looking up records, pay per view though:
