Thomas Durham died 1862. Ross on Wye

I am researching Thomas and Mary Durham Nee Knight. Thomas was born Wellington, Herefordshire, in abt 1822 and died Ross on Wye 9th Oct 1862. Mary his wife was born Blakemere, Herefordshire in abt 1820.

Thomas was a carpenter/ joiner. He lived most of his life in Ross. He and Mary had two children namely Mary Ann Durham born abt 1855, and Alexander George
Durham born abt 1855. By the time of the 1871 census, the children were living with a family by the name of Jordan, in Gloucester.  It appears that at some point
Mary Ann was adopted by the same family.

I do not know what happened to Thomas' wife, she was certainly alive in 1864 when Thomas' will was proved in Hereford.  She may have died, or even fell on hard times and was un-able to keep the children.

If anyone has any information, I would be pleased to hear from you. Also anyone with knowledge of the Durham family on the Gloucester area.

I wonder if this is Mary Snr in 1871, I realise the age is a bit out but I can't find any other matching Mary in 1861,

I think the marriage found by KGarrad could be this Mary Ann DURHAM to James YOUNG, I can follow this Mary with father James through the censuses etc. In 1891 she has a James DURHAM age 70 living as a lodger.
