Thank you so much everyone for your help. That was great to come home to all that information. All these spelling variations sent to try us! That's good that I know Patrick was born in Ireland, I suspected that might be the case.

Gali - that last birth date wise would seem to be impossible given his death in 1872 but with the parents names the same I do wonder if it could be a transcription error?

Any sign under the many possible spellings on 1871? I would imagine Whitburn would be the area then.

Looks like it could be them. I know some children were born at Low Port Linlithgow. I'm guessing the first Mary must have died and they called a second child the same name. Looks like a few other children missing too.

Can I be cheeky and ask if you can find Elizabeth with whatever children remain in 1881? She should still be alive if the info on Eliza Jane's marriage record correct. She married in 1883 in Linlithgow so perhaps still in the West Lothian area.
