Clyde/Whiteside
« on: Thursday 28 April 05 18:09 BST (UK) »
I am looking for clues for the folowing who I think may have gone from Co Down to Glasgow Port Glasgow about 1860.
Thomas Whiteside and Elizabeth Whiteside nee Clyde.Born  circa 1830.They had a daughter Elizabeth born in Ireland 1856.Possible from another County.
What cencus records are available for Ireland?

Hei Jane,

During the period you mention there are very few census records left for Ireland. This site explains the situation http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~irelandlist/census.html
However there are Census substitutes and this is good one although it only lists the head of the household http://www.failteromhat.com/griffiths.htm

Lykke Til,

Christopher
