Thanks all for your response, my g'mothers first names were Clara kathleen born in 1881 and Stovold was her name when married. Re. lillian She died in a home somewhere around London and the families suggested so far do not "fit". The Miss Duffs info. is correct and I would like to follow this trail -if any one can help with electoral roll that would be great,

There is a death registered in the oct-nov-dec quarter of 1962 of a Lilian E STOVOLD in Kensington district, London. The age given was 74, giving a birth year of 1888.

But I can't find Clara on the 1901


However, I DID find her in 1891!

I can see the 1909 marriage (10th April) in Wandsworth. She says her father was Charles STOVOLD (deceased), a greengrocer.

Aldershot (in 1881) came under the Farnham district.
I have checked all Clara births 1880-1882 in Farnham, and there is no Clara Kathleen.

There is a Clara Jemima, but she is with her family in 1891, born in Farnham.

There is a Charles STOVOLD living in Aldershot on the 1881 census. He is unmarried, aged 27, born Seale, Surrey. He is an assistant to a fishmonger. Perhaps Clara's birth was registered under the mothers name if the parents were not married?

Refering back to Lilian and Scintilla's info. of  her possible death cert, in 1962 , latest family info says that this is just too early 1964-6 is about right,also, to reiterate a previous request  - now that we know the name of the house in Paddock wood -how can I verify the names of the inhabitants ??
