Hello Peter,

The birth would have been registered at Northwich but doesn't appear on either freebmd or the Cheshirebmd site.

The only KING births are for Eric 1903, Edward Henry 1904 or Henry 1904.

Do you have either the father or the grandparents in the 1901 census?

Jean

Hello Jean
The only infoI have of this birth was from the 1911 census it says John King b.1904 Winsford, the  1901 census info I have, but, trying to trace his father/mother no luck.
The 1911 census shows him at his granfather's house.
Would he have been registered in the Winsford area?
Thanks
Peter

The 1911 census would have been completed by his grandfather, Alexander, who was 75 years old at the time.

So it is entirely possible that he made a mistake?

There is a John King, born March 1903, in Stourbridge district.
Stourbridge does include Swinford?!

Is this a coincidence?  ;D

Hi All
The item I posted a short time ago regarding  a JOHN KING b. Winsford 1904 I have found via Cheshire BMD site his father and mother,Frederick W King and Eleanor Summerfield who were married in 1900 in Frankby,Wirral also a John King b.1904 in Tranmere, now whether or not these are connected is another mystery.
Thanks
Peter
