"Colwick Workhouse, Nottingham"
« on: Wednesday 15 June 11 14:17 BST (UK) »
Can anyone throw any light on which workhouse may have been referred to as Colwick?

I have a letter from a gg uncle, relating a conversation he had with his aunt in about 1902 regarding the family history. In the letter he mentions a relative who at that time was "an inmate of Colwick Workhouse, Nottingham."

Eventually, I would like to access the archives and see if any Workhouse records appertaining to this relative have survived.

Thanks,

R

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.
The letter says "Nell Berry or Berridge". I suspect this could be Ellen Berridge.
