Help with what happened
« on: Sunday 19 June 11 22:20 BST (UK) »
Hello All,

Am doing some research on relatives who lived in the Isle of Man, I am registered with Find My Past but it does not seem to pick up much can anyone tell me does it cover Isle of Man records?

Am aware of Manx ancestry website which has been helpful but only has death records up to 1964 and need to find record of a Albert Simpson who died in road accident in the Isle of Man in the mid to late 1960's and a Mabel Simpson who died between 1994 and 2010.

I know I can make a direct request to the Isle of Man registry office but would also help if I can make it as accurate as possible, can anyone tell me of anywhere else can look at.

Cheers

there are two Albert Henry Simpson burials
one in Lezayre (covers Ramsey) age 66 5 May 1963
other in Braddan (douglas) age 65 15 Aug 1966

the iomfhsoc www.iomfhs.im publishes transcribed burial registers - think also now a list of cremations
any thing with a Manx Connection

suggest pay your money to Gen Registry and get copy of death cert  (helps with my taxes as well!) - you could ask on http://www.isle-of-man.com/genealogy/messageboard/index.pl if there is a Memorial Inscription (if Mabel is his wife she might be on it but don't think will cover post late 1990's ) - you can pay Gen registry to do a search

Thanks for above will try the other website see any memorial inscription regarding mabel, I last saw her in 1994 she would have been 83 looked reasonably fit but I think she had passed away by early 2000's.  I also think she was buried with her late husband in Bradon cemetary, so if there is any info on a inscription could be useful.

Thanks again
