John Hands,buried at Whichford,living at Stourton,Dec.14th. 1856,aged 81,giving a birth year of 1775.
So John "remarried" Ann ? after 1828.

Thank you all - a busy day tomorrow looking at all of this information - its brilliant! Re the Tappin family I understand that often the mothers maiden name is used as a second name ie with their eldest daughter Sarah Tappin Hands b.1799 would make sense!
