I'm looking for the location of Marble Quarry Croft, Portsoy.  It was in the hands of the Grays from the late 18th century till the early 20th century .  Nobody I asked in Portsoy had heard of it.

Welcome to RootsChat.

Portsoy marble is a polished stone - serpentine in fact.  The quarry is marked on the old OS map (viewable online at :
http://www.old-maps.co.uk)

It is right on the coast around Dunnic Point to the west from the harbour.  I would imagine that the croft was located near there.  It may well no longer exist - it may have disappeared down the cliff!
