' Collen ' listed as a place of birth on the 1871 census for
John Dunn in Morwick Village near Morpeth.
Also for wife Elizabeth Dunn,  'Lowcorke' or could be 'Low Corkle'.

Can scan and post original.

Apologies,
in my haste I confused John Dunn the father
'1851' census Morwick township where born 'Collen' and
Wife 'Margaret born 'Lowcorke'

with the son John Dunn on the 1871 census for Eshott, Felton

I've tried to attach the file but the attach bar won't/doesn't appear below
the 'don't use smileys box for me......

You cannot attach anything on a "lookup Requests" board. You will have to go to another board if you want to do this.

1851 census reference for John and MARGARET Dunn

Source Citation: Class: HO107; Piece: 2419; Folio: 121; Page: 30; GSU roll: 87097-87098.
James Stott c1775-1850. James was born in Yorkshire but where? He was a stonemason and married Elizabeth Archer (nee Nicholson) in 1794 at Ripon. They lived thereafter in Masham. If anyone has any suggestions or leads as to his birthplace I would be interested to know. I have searched for it for years without success. Thank you.

I wonder if Low Corkle is meant to be

Low (or Little) Callerton - in Ponteland Parish

Similarly Chollerton may actually be any one of the Charlton places in Northumberland

Thank-you so much  ;)

I can find Chollerton near Hexham.
John Dunn (my ggfather born 1844/45 Guyzance) is the 3rd of 6 sons.
The son you refer to is the youngest, Wm aged 1 month on the 1851 census.

Not so easy on the Mary Castle >:(
Could it be Low Castle as in 'Low Horton Castle'?

Where could I send/post the image for everyone to have a better look?
