Well Toby as I finished writing my last reply it suddenly dawned on me that for this reason of birthplaces in BMD Indexes being different sometimes to birthplaces given on Census entries that this could be the answer to my brother-in-law's long and so far futile hunt for his ancestor!

Hiraeth I was going to offer the Morgan/Griffiths marriage at Ruabon but beware the other name listed was an Eliza and there is a William and Eliza Morgan at Ruabon in the 1851 Census who have apparently not long been married.

Hiraeth the other names listed Edward and Anne Briscoe are to be found living at Elton Cheshire in 1851 with Edward's parents,Anne being given as born in Ruabon in c 1820.

HI hireath,thanks for your reply regarding Williams fathers name I have William on the 1841 census in upton warren Worcester aged 13 his brother is Joseph 1839 mother Ann father Thomas1816  if this is the right family it does fit ,see what you think .tobyma123

Hi wrjones,thanks for your interest again  I agree about the census names were wrong someone could not spell a bit like me at times ha ha .However people also lied to cover things up like children out of wedlock which makes it so difficult for us.Did you read the post I sent to carole about the Dowley children this is a case in point if Ihad not known my gregregreg grandmother had been married three times I would not have found them I still do not know why they called themselves Dudley because when my gre grandmother married Charles Morgan in 1889Wellington she married as a Dowley see what I mean.tobyma123

Hi Toby,see my post on this thread about William Morgan's second marriage to Mary Jane Gittins?William Morgan's father is given as Francis Morgan(Coachman) in the Rhosymedre Parish Registers(Marriages).

Hi wrjones,I did see that it was late last night I am half asleep silly me.Where in Worcester do you think they are in 1841 the Morgans on the census?.and where are Francis and his wife in 1851any idea or are they deceased by then.You can tell I have not been doing this long myfamily tree is growing so fast I cannot keep up .However I have found four new cousins I did not know I had  one even in Australia ,thanks again tobyma123

I'm not finding much about Francis Morgan the Coachman Toby I'm afraid.He is not showing readily on any Census.As far as the IGI is concerned all I can see is a submitted entry of a marriage of a Francis Morgan and a Mary Rile at Claines Worcester in 1826.
