2 james drummonds  were born whitby yorkshire about 1818 one married ann elder and stayed in whitby both became mariners.My james moved and maried in sunderland to mary greenwell.they had 3 children james 1846 joseph william 1848 and mary jane 1850 by 1850 mother mary and 2 children had died only joseph survived. in 1851 he was living wirth grandmother mary in sunderland he then next appears married to sarah ann in 1871 in bishop wearmouth and does move for a while to bishopaukland befor returning to sunderland in 1891. i can not find him in the 1861 census.his father james i have not  found him in any census. a death in whitby in 1863 appears to be the james married to ann who is a widdow by 1871
