William Main/ Janet Waddell

William Main and Janet Waddell had a son John, b. 1750. Does any one know if he married?
In the 1841 census, I found a Thomas Main, age 20, living with my gggrandparents, John Main/ Helen Mitchell, in Falkirk. My research of Thomas revealed that his parents were likely John Main/ Christian Main, m. 1819, Falkirk.
This John Main’s parents could have been either John Main/ Marion Monteath, m. 1788, Falkirk, or George Main/ Jean Scrimgeour, m. 1788, Falkirk. It’s possible that John Main (Marion Monteath) was the son of William/ Janet Waddell, but I haven’t been able to confirm this. Can anyone help with any of the families I have mentioned?
