Anne JONES family, no Census records for 1841/51/61

Help,

I managed to find [with help form this web-site] Anne Jones born abt. 1838 in Eglwysfach on the 1861 Census for Eglwysfach, Denbighshire on RG9/4304 F29 P8. She is an unmarried mother of one, with a daughter called Mary Anne aged 1, living at Groesffordd.

Anne marries David EVANS, 1st. June 1861, at the Parish Church in Eglwysfach. She gives her age as 24, Spinster, and address as Groesffordd, and her father's name Robert JONES, [Labourer].

None of my searches have been successful, for Robert Jones, with a daughter called Anne, born Eglwysfach, about 1838, on the 1841 and 1851 Census Records.

Because Anne is living away from her family in 1861, trying to find the right Robert Jones in 1861 is proving impossible, without knowing the rest of the family and their details.

Any ideas on how to proceed further?

Have you ruled out the Ann Jones age 15 in 1851 at Groesfford, Eglwysfach, reference HO107/2508 85 21?

Hello Tati,

Your Ann JONES at Groesffodd, Eglwysfach in 1851 looks to be the one I'm after, thank you very much.
 
Using the same dates, I think that the same family is living at Tyn y Ffordd, Eglwysfach on the 1841 Census HO107/1403 Book 8 F11 P14. The only problem is that Anne is aged 12, born 1829, and is listed after the other male siblings.

She has used different dates of birth on nearly every Census Record.
1841 b.1829
1851 b.1836
1861 b.1838
1871 b.1839
1881 b.1839

Do you think this is the correct family in 1841?

I'm not sure about 1841 - the age is very much out, isn't it? Shame it doesn't give relationships

Well, it could be an errant letter, and the age could really be 2.   which I think makes her likely.

But, on the 1851 there is Robert 25, and David is 13, Ann is 15.

should make them 15, 3, and 5 on the 1841.   But on the 1841 you've found if Ann is the youngest then David is older than her, where he should be younger.
and there is no Robert (although he could have been working away.)

So, not certain.

I have been over to Eglwysbach[Eglwysfach], to find the address's from 1841/51/61.

 In 1851 Robert Jones [Head] is living at Groesffordd, near another property called Gyffylog. There is a house called Groesffordd near the the lane for Gyffylog, just north of the village, and it must have been altered, as a date above the front door states AD 1885 HDP.
In 1861 Anne is still at Groesffordd with her daughter Mary Anne, and the next house down is Tyn ddol. Again there is a house called Tynddol just next door, so that matches up nicely.

However, I cannot find out where Tyn y ffordd, the home of Robert & Mary Jones in 1841, I was hoping it would be somewhere near to Groesffordd, to make a stronger case for them being the same family.

Any ideas on what to do or try next would be most welcome,
