Anyway, it would seem that I have been barking up the wrong tree with the name KITCH, (that will teach me to rely too much on other people's trees on the ancestry site
) . I believe the correct marriage I should have been looking for was Henry Smith marrying Sarah PALMER from Lympsham 18/7/1842. So far I have managed to trace Sarah's parents, Samuel PALMER and Jane GILLIN along with 8 siblings, although going back any further than that is now proving a little more difficult.
